An analysis of Drug Abuse in Scripture and another extra-Biblical Literature.
It is often believed that the Bible has no direct mandate concerning drug abuse, and so wherever the English version, at least concerning our subject is still fundamentally a mediaeval translation this may appear true. However modern writing placed together with certain sections of the New Testament and the extra-Biblical Didaché or 'Teaching of the Twelve Apostles' do it quite clean that the Old Testament and the Early Church had a clean teaching concerning drug and substance abuse. The apocryphal Book of Enoch (sometimes called 'The Lost Prophet') besides cites drug abuse as a 'dark art' instructed to world by the fallen angels of Genesis chapter six.
Where the essay besides deals with extra-Biblical account of child sacrifice as it relates to substance abuse in ancient times parental guidance is advised.
