This is the account of an American adolescent who discovered a religious residence in Asian country that was the inspriation for the legend of "Shangri La". It mightiness be categorised as a 'new age' or philosophy book, like the Celestin Prophecies, since it focuses on his spiritual training and their teachings in a novel-like format. Hard to beleive, but interestingly, the sub-tropical region amongst the Chain that he describes finding, was later documented by explorers from National Geographic, the 'covered up' (there is still evidence of this). Besides absorbing is that the author was apparently mentioned in the King of england Cayce readings (the celebrated American psychic whose books have oversubscribed millions of copies), as person who would be one day bring an important message to the world.
