This was a surprise .. I was expecting to be preached at (like the Celestine Prophecy) but instead got carried along by a good old-fashioned story, with unexpected twists and great period detail. It would make a terrific movie!

I read a lot and know quickly if the book is worth finishing, this book kept my interest straight through. It's an intriguing concept, one that really makes me think long after finishing it. It has bits of deep insight and incredible description.
